Rick’s first Teamster job was as a driver for Moorpark Ready-Mix. He then became a member of Local 848 when he went to work as as a driver for Certified Grocers. This led him to become a Shop Steward, and then a Business Agent for that Local. In 1985, he became Recording Secretary, and then in 1992 was elected President, the office that he held until 2000, when he resigned to become Trustee of Local 572 in Carson, CA. After 2 years as Trustee, Rick won a white ballot election on November 1, 2002, becoming Secretary-Treasurer of Local 572.

Rick’s 31 years with the Teamsters Union has provided him with the expertise necessary to effectively take on this challenging new position with Local 572.
