TEAMstar Medicare Insurance Program

TEAMstar supplemental Medicare insurance program is designed to protect Teamster retirees, their spouses and their surviving spouses from skyrocketing out-of-pocket health care costs.

The TEAMstar program includes:

• Freedom to choose your own doctors and hospitals - no provider lists
• Nationwide acceptance
• Automatic Claims Filing Plus - virtually eliminating paperwork
• Special member services toll-free help line for information and counseling on Medicare rights and coverage

Who's Eligible?

• Teamster retirees, their spouses and surviving spouses who are Medicare eligible
• The TEAMstar program is also available to the parents of Teamster members
• As of September 1998, TEAMstar is available in all states except FL and MN

TeamsteRx

This program helps reduce the cost of prescription drugs for Teamster members, retirees and their dependents not covered by a Health and Welfare fund. Good at over 50,000 retail pharmacies, the TeamsteRx card provides free safety reviews of all prescription drugs and a Mail Service Pharmacy for maintenance medications. There is no enrollment fee for TeamsteRx and it saves you money when you use it.
